FAQs
Is this a legitimate service?
Yes — Checkbackk is a private investigator service that helps individuals and businesses recover funds legally owed to them. We use public databases and follow all legal and regulatory guidelines. In some states, we are required to be licensed or bonded — and we comply fully.
What information do you need from me?
Usually just your full name (or business name), your current contact info, and any past names or addresses you've used. If a match is found, we may request ID or authorization documents — but everything is secure and encrypted.
Is my personal information safe?
Absolutely! We never sell your information. All your data is stored securely, and we only use it to search public records or file claims on your behalf with your consent.
How long does it take to get my money?
It depends on the state and agency. Some claims are processed in 4–6 weeks, others may take 8–12 weeks. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and handle all follow-ups for you.
What kind of people or businesses usually have unclaimed checks?
Anyone! Individuals who moved, changed names, overpaid taxes, or closed businesses. We've helped everyone from teachers to restaurants to tech startups find money they didn’t know they were owed.
What happens if you don’t find anything for me?
Then there’s no charge. We’ll notify you either way — and you’ll have peace of mind knowing someone looked thoroughly on your behalf. Why do I need your help? Can’t I just do it myself?
You can do it yourself, but the process is often slow, confusing, and buried in red tape. We make it easy: we identify what you're owed, guide the claim process, and handle the paperwork. Most clients prefer speed, convenience, and peace of mind.
How do you get paid?
We only get paid when you receive your money. There are no upfront fees. Our success-based fee (typically 10–30%) is clearly disclosed before you sign anything. If we don’t recover anything, you owe nothing.
What is an unclaimed warrant or unclaimed check?
An unclaimed warrant is a check issued by a government agency (like a county, city, or state) that was never cashed — often because the recipient moved, changed names, or missed the notice. These funds eventually go dormant, but they still belong to you.
Can you help with multiple states?
Yes. We search across several state and county databases. If you’ve lived or operated in more than one state, we’ll include them in the search.
